Air Arabia Cancellation and Refund Policy
KLIA.Info » Airlines at KLIA » Air Arabia » Cancellation and Refund Policy
Air Arabia provides flexible cancellation and refund options, ensuring convenience
for its passengers. Below are the key points of their policy:
General Refund Rule
Most Air Arabia tickets are non-refundable if you cancel voluntarily, especially
Light and Basic fares. In these cases, the base fare is forfeited, but airport
taxes and fees may be refunded, subject to airline rules.
Some fare types allow the ticket value to be credited for future travel within
Air Arabia, subject to fare and add-on conditions.
Voluntary Cancellation
With Flexibility Add-Ons
If you purchased a Flex or Value fare with flexibility options, you may cancel
and convert your ticket value (minus any fees for the add-on) into Air Arabia
Travel Credit for future use, typically valid for 12 months from the date of
issue.
Without Flexibility Add-Ons
If you did not purchase a flexible fare, voluntary cancellations usually do not
qualify for a refund. Only airport taxes or surcharges may be refunded, and the
base fare is non-refundable.
24-Hour Cancellation Rule
If you cancel within 24 hours of booking and your flight departs at least 7 days
later, you may be eligible for a full refund of the ticket cost, taxes, and
fees, provided the booking was made directly on Air Arabia’s website. This is a
standard consumer protection practice.
Airline-Initiated Disruptions (Involuntary Cancellations)
If Air Arabia cancels your flight due to operational reasons (e.g., schedule
changes, aircraft issues, or weather), you are generally entitled to:
• Full cash refund to the original payment method
• Rebooking on an alternative Air Arabia flight at no extra charge
• Travel Credit for use on a future flight
Refund Processing
Refunds for eligible flights are processed within 10 - 15 business days, but the
exact time to reach your bank or card depends on your financial institution.
Refunds for add-ons (e.g., baggage, priority boarding, seat selection) may
follow separate processing rules.
