Passengers travelling with Air Astana are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers are allowed to bring one piece of cabin baggage into the aircraft free of charge.

Economy & Premium Economy: Maximum 8 kg, and dimensions should not exceed approximately 56 × 45 × 25 cm (including handles and wheels).

Business Class: Allowed two pieces of cabin baggage with the same size and weight limits.

In addition to cabin baggage, items such as a purse, laptop bag, or small personal item may be carried on board as long as they fit within the overall carry‑on allowance.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Free checked baggage depends on your fare type and booking class:

Business Class: 2 pieces up to 32 kg each.

Premium Economy: 2 pieces up to 32 kg each.

Sleeping Economy Class: 2 pieces up to 23 kg each.

Economy Class: Varies by fare - Basic (no checked baggage), Classic (1 piece up to 23 kg), Plus (2 pieces up to 23 kg each).

Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm in total dimensions (length + width + height).

Extra Baggage

If you need more than your free allowance, Air Astana offers MyBAGGAGE (extra baggage) that can be purchased:

You can add up to 10 extra pieces of baggage per ticket.

If bought at least 36 hours before departure, a discount (e.g., ~30 %) may apply.

Extra baggage purchased later or at the airport is charged at standard rates.

One piece must not exceed 32 kg; oversize and special baggage may incur additional fees.
