Passengers travelling with Biman Bangladesh Airlines are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers are allowed to carry one (1) piece of cabin baggage onboard.

Maximum weight: up to 7 kg

Maximum dimensions: 56 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm

In addition, one small personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or camera may be carried, subject to cabin space availability.

All carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowance varies depending on route, cabin class, and fare type.

Economy Class

• 30 kg total (weight concept) or 2 pieces × 23 kg each (piece concept on selected long-haul routes)

Business Class

• 40 kg total or 2 pieces × 32 kg each (on applicable routes)

• Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm (length + width + height).

Passengers are advised to verify their exact baggage entitlement on the e-ticket or booking confirmation, as allowances may differ by destination.

Extra Baggage

Passengers carrying baggage in excess of the free allowance may purchase extra baggage, subject to aircraft hold capacity.

• Charges are based on excess weight and/or additional pieces

• Fees vary by route and destination

• Pre-purchasing extra baggage (where available) may be more economical than paying at the airport

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.
