Cancellation and Refund Policy

China Airlines provides flexible cancellation and refund options, ensuring convenience for its passengers. Below are the key points of their policy:

Cancellation Policy

By default, China Airlines tickets are non-refundable, in accordance with the fare rules associated with each ticket. Cancellation conditions, fees, and eligibility depend on the fare type, route, and timing of the cancellation.

Tickets cancelled within 24 hours of booking may qualify for a full refund, provided the flight departs at least 7 days later and the booking was made directly with China Airlines.

After the 24-hour period, cancellation fees may apply based on fare conditions and how close the cancellation is to departure.

For non-refundable fares, only unused government taxes and airport charges may be refunded.

Refund Policy

Refundable Fares: Tickets purchased under refundable fare conditions may be cancelled and refunded to the original form of payment, subject to applicable service or handling fees.

Non-Refundable Fares: The ticket fare is not refundable; however, certain taxes and surcharges may be refunded upon request.

Flight Cancellations or Schedule Changes by the Airline: If China Airlines cancels a flight or makes significant schedule changes, passengers are generally entitled to a full refund or may choose to be rebooked without additional charges.

Refund Processing: Refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take several business days, depending on the booking channel and payment provider.

Special Circumstances: Refunds or fee waivers may be considered in cases such as medical emergencies or bereavement, subject to documentation and airline approval.

Important Notes

Fare rules vary by cabin class and fare family and are displayed at the time of booking.

Tickets purchased through travel agents or third-party platforms must be cancelled and refunded through the original point of sale.
