China Southern Airlines passengers are welcome to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Every passengers in Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class can take one cabin bag with maximum 5 kg per person on board. Passengers travelling in First Class are permitted 2 x 5 kg bags. The sum of the external dimensions of each piece of baggage can be no greater than 115 cm. (45 in).

Passengers travelling with infants are also permitted to bring one personal item onto their flight as long as it is able to fit underneath the seat in front of them.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Passenger’s checked baggage allowance is dependent on the route and class flying. For most flights from Japan, America, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and journeys from Singapore to China, passengers are entitled to 2 pieces of baggage in Business Class and Premium Economy and Economy Class with a maximum weight of 32 kg in First and Business Class, and 23 kg for Economy Class.

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.

Extra Baggage

Excess baggage fees apply if you go over your purchased allowance. Pre-purchasing extra allowance online is usually cheaper than paying at the airport.
