Delayed Baggage

If your baggage is delayed upon arrival, take the following steps:

Report the Issue: Visit the baggage services desk at the airport immediately. This is usually located in the customs hall near baggage claim.

Complete a PIR: Fill out a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with details such as color, brand, and identifying features. You’ll receive a reference number to track your baggage.

Track Your Baggage: Use the PIR number to check the status on the Emirates website or mobile app.

Delivery or Collection: Once your baggage is located and cleared by customs, Emirates will arrange delivery or advise you to collect it at the airport, depending on local regulations.

Damaged Baggage

If your baggage is damaged:

Report Immediately: Notify an Emirates representative at the baggage services desk before leaving the airport.

If Already Left: Contact your nearest Emirates office within 7 days to file a written damage report.

Further Action: If your delayed baggage arrives damaged, report it immediately for assistance with claims processing.

Lost Property & Baggage

If you’ve lost personal belongings or baggage, follow these steps:

Lost in the Cabin: Complete the Lost Property Form on the Emirates website. Include your flight details and ticket number.

Lost at the Airport: Speak to an Emirates staff member at the airport. If you’ve already left, use the online form to report the lost item.

Lost Checked Baggage: If your checked baggage is missing, report it at the baggage services desk or via the Lost Baggage Form online. Emirates will track the item and update you accordingly.
