Garuda Indonesia passengers are welcome to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Economy Class: 1 piece, up to 7 kg

Business Class: 1 piece, up to 14 kg (may be split into 2 pieces)

Maximum cabin bag size: 56 × 36 × 23 cm

One small personal item (handbag, laptop bag, or duty-free item) is usually allowed

Checked Baggage Allowance

Economy Class: 30 kg (weight concept)

Business Class: 40 kg

First Class (if applicable): 50 kg

Individual checked bag weight must not exceed 32 kg

Allowance may vary depending on fare type, ticket conditions, or promotional fares.

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.

Extra Baggage

Excess baggage fees apply if you exceed your free allowance.

Charges are based on per kilogram or per piece, depending on the route.

Pre-purchasing extra baggage online via the Garuda Indonesia website or mobile app is cheaper than paying at the airport.

Acceptance of excess baggage is subject to available cargo space.
