Passengers travelling with Iran Air are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers traveling with Iran Air are generally permitted to bring one piece of carry-on baggage into the cabin.

• Economy Class: up to 7 kg

• Business Class: up to 10 kg

• Maximum dimensions: 55 × 40 × 20 cm

In addition to the main carry-on item, passengers may usually bring one small personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or camera case, provided it fits under the seat in front.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowance on Iran Air depends on the route, travel class, and fare type.

• Economy Class: 20 - 30 kg total (weight-based system)

• Business Class: 30 - 40 kg total (weight-based system)

On some routes, Iran Air may apply a piece concept, usually allowing:

• 1 - 2 checked bags

• Maximum weight per piece: 23 kg

• Maximum linear dimensions per piece: 158 cm (length + width + height)

Passengers are advised to verify the exact allowance stated on their ticket.

Extra Baggage

Passengers exceeding their free baggage allowance may purchase extra baggage, subject to aircraft hold capacity.

Extra baggage charges are calculated based on:

• Excess weight

• Additional pieces

• Route and destination

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.
