Kuwait Airways provides flexible cancellation and refund options, ensuring convenience for its passengers. Below are the key points of their policy:

Cancellation Policy

By default, Kuwait Airways tickets are non-refundable unless the fare rules specifically say they are refundable - most discounted/basics fares are non-refundable.

Fare rules that apply (e.g., refundable vs. non-refundable) are printed in your booking at the time of purchase - ALWAYS check these before cancelling.

24-Hour Free Cancellation

If you cancel within 24 hours of booking and the flight departs ≥ 7 days later, you are typically entitled to a full refund with no cancellation fees when booked directly with Kuwait Airways (website/app/call center).

No-Show / After Cut-Off

If you don’t cancel and don’t show up for your flight, Kuwait Airways may cancel your return/connecting flights too and refunds may not be available.


Refund Policy

Refundable Tickets

You can cancel before departure and get the fare back (less any applicable cancellation fees if specified).

Non-Refundable Tickets

Generally no refund of the fare; only taxes and fees may be refunded.

Important: In some cases (e.g., bereavement/medical reasons), full refunds may be granted if documentation is provided and approved.

Airline-Initiated Cancellations / Schedule Changes

If Kuwait Airways cancels or significantly changes your flight, you are entitled to:

A full refund of the unused portions; OR

A re-routing on alternate flights at no extra charge.

Under EU/European rules (when flights originate in Europe), you also have specific rights to reimbursement and compensation.

Refund Processing Time

Refunds are usually processed back to the original payment method within ~7–10 business days (may vary based on card issuer & booking source).

How to Request a Refund

Online: Use the “Manage Booking” tool on Kuwait Airways’ website/app for bookings made online.

Agent / Office: If booked through an agent or office, contact that agent/office for refund handling.
