Lost and Found

If you lose an item during your Qantas Airways flight or at the airport, Qantas Airways is here to assist. The Lost and Found service allows you to report and retrieve your belongings quickly and easily. Follow these steps to report and recover your lost items.

Items Lost Within Terminal (Public Areas)

If you lose personal belongings within the public areas of KLIA (e.g., check-in halls, lounges, or baggage claim areas), contact the KLIA Lost & Found Center directly. Provide details such as:

• Date and time of loss
• Terminal or specific location
• Detailed description of the item

KLIA Lost & Found Center staff will assist you in locating and recovering your property. You may also be required to show proof of identity to claim your items.

Items Lost Onboard or at the Gate

When Qantas sells flights between KUL and Australia under its QF flight number, those segments are operated by Malaysia Airlines. If the item was left on the aircraft, inform Malaysia Airlines staff with your flight details and seating information for faster retrieval.

Online Reporting

Check Malaysia Airlines’ official website to submit a lost item report digitally, if available.

Claiming Your Item

Verification Required: Present proof of ownership (e.g., receipts, photos) and valid ID to collect the item.

Storage Locations: Recovered items are held at the KLIA Lost & Found Center or the airline’s local office.

Retrieval & Collection

If your item is found, it can be collected in person at KLIA. Alternatively, you may authorize someone in writing to pick it up on your behalf.

In-Person Assistance

Visit the Lost and Found Office in Terminal 1, where staff can guide you on reporting lost items.
