If you lose an item during your Qantas Airways flight or at the airport, Qantas Airways is here to
assist. The Lost and Found service allows you to report and retrieve your
belongings quickly and easily. Follow these steps to report and recover your
lost items.
Items Lost Within Terminal (Public Areas)
If you lose personal belongings within the public areas of KLIA (e.g., check-in
halls, lounges, or baggage claim areas), contact the
KLIA Lost & Found Center
directly. Provide details such as:
• Date and time of loss
• Terminal or specific location
• Detailed description of the item
KLIA Lost & Found Center staff
will assist you in locating and recovering your property. You may also be
required to show proof of identity to claim your items.
Items Lost Onboard or at the Gate
When Qantas sells flights between KUL and Australia under its QF flight number,
those segments are operated by
Malaysia Airlines.
If the item was left on the aircraft, inform
Malaysia Airlines staff with your
flight details and seating information for faster retrieval.
Online Reporting
Check
Malaysia Airlines’ official website to submit a lost item report
digitally, if available.
Claiming Your Item
Verification Required: Present proof of ownership (e.g., receipts, photos) and
valid ID to collect the item.
Storage Locations: Recovered items are held at the
KLIA Lost & Found Center or the
airline’s local office.
Retrieval & Collection
If your item is found, it can be collected in person at KLIA. Alternatively, you
may authorize someone in writing to pick it up on your behalf.

Visit the Lost and Found Office
in Terminal 1, where staff can guide you on reporting lost items.
