Jalan Bangsar Jalan Bangsar

Jalan Bangsar is one of main road that connects Kuala Lumpur to Petaling Jaya. The Jalan Travers-Bangsar junctions has been upgraded into flyover junctions to smooth the traffic. Construction began on early 2010 and was completed in mid 2010 and has now opened to traffic.

Jalan Bangsar follows the southern boundary of the Bangsar area, separating Bangsar from Brickfields. Bangsar's terrain is undulating, with small hills dotting the landscape, giving it a hilly appearance. Generally, the land slopes downhill from the north to the south until it reaches the Klang River located beyond Brickfields.
In fact, the southern part of Bangsar, where Jalan Bangsar is located, used to be prone to floods after heavy downpours. The land gradually rises until it reaches what is now Bukit Bandaraya, after which it drops steeply to Jalan Damansara.

On the main road, at the intersection between Jalan Bangsar and Jalan Maarof, there is Dataran Maybank. This is a relatively recent addition to Bangsar and Maybank scored a coup by securing such a prime location. It was launched in November, 2001.

Tenaga Nasional (TNB) Head Office are located along Jalan Bangsar.

Jalan Bangsar can be reach easily by KLIA Taxi for the fare of RM74.30 (budget taxi) and RM102.10 / RM199.80 for premier and family limo.

Note: The taxi fare published here (as on 15 Dec 2015) is an estimate and subjected to changes. If you travel between 11:30 pm to 6:00 am, there will be an additional 50% fare surcharge.
