Jalan Raja Chulan Jalan Raja Chulan Formerly known as Weld Road, the road is named after Raja Chulan (1869 - 1933), a member of the Perak royal family who fight for Malay rights during British Malaya era by urged the British to improve the Malay people's economical standing and accessibility to civil service.

Today, Jalan Raja Chulan has become the popular commercial and financial district in Kuala Lumpur. Embedded within the Golden Triangle' of Kuala Lumpur, many high-rise purpose built offices housing reputable multinational companies, banks and insurances are situated here.


Bangunan Ambank Group, Menara ING, Menara MIDF, Menara Weld, Wisma MPL, Wisma Goldhill and Wisma Lim Foo Yong are among the few to named strategically situated along Jalan Raja Chulan.

Another iconic landmark in this road is Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur, a 5 star premier business class hotel located right in front of junction intersects with Jalan Sultan Ismail.

The Raja Chulan Monorail Station also derived from Jalan Raja Chulan which is intersects with Jalan Sultan Ismail 100 metres south.
