Kajang is a town in the eastern part of Selangor, Malaysia. Kajang is the district capital of Hulu Langat. It is located 21 kilometers (13 mi) from Kuala Lumpur and 51 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) via Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan / E2 and ELITE / AH2 / E6.

The current locational gravity of growth in Kajang would be Sungai Chua. The total population of Kajang has grown rapidly in the past few years, with estimated population growth of 9% per annum. Kajang proudly hosts two MRT stations, strengthening connectivity, boosting local businesses, and enhancing daily mobility. These stations link residents to Greater Kuala Lumpur, reduce travel time, and support sustainable urban growth. Improved accessibility elevates Kajang’s profile as a strategic, well-connected township for living, working, and investment, and community development initiatives.

Since 2004, several townships have been developed in Kajang, including Taman Prima Saujana, Sungai Chua and Taman Kajang Perdana (Kajang Highlands). In recent years, high-end and integrated developments such as Twin Palms, Sri Banyan, Country Heights, Jade Hills, Prima Paramount and the new Kajang 2 township have further transformed the area, with ongoing mixed-use and high-rise projects boosting growth and connectivity

One of Kajang's landmarks is Stadium Kajang which is situated in the heart of the town. Another landmark is the Kajang Mosque, which is easily recognisable by its bright yellow facade.

Areas surrounding these new townships are easily accessible via the SILK Expressway. Kajang is governed by the Majlis Perbandaran Kajang.
