Ashgabat International Airport (ASB) is the main international gateway to Turkmenistan’s capital, Ashgabat, located about 10 km northeast of the city center. The airport serves both domestic and international flights, connecting Turkmenistan with destinations across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

The modern terminal handles arrivals and departures for all flights. Facilities include check-in counters, self-service kiosks, immigration and customs services, baggage claim, VIP/business lounges, retail shops, duty-free outlets, cafés, restaurants, free Wi-Fi, ATMs, currency exchange, and prayer rooms.

Airlines

ASB is the hub for Turkmenistan Airlines. Other carriers include Flydubai, Turkish Airlines, Lufthansa (seasonal), and S7 Airlines, with destinations such as Istanbul, Dubai, Frankfurt, and Moscow.

Transportation

Travelers can reach Ashgabat city center via multiple options. Taxis are available 24/7 outside the terminal for direct transfers. Airport buses connect the airport with central Ashgabat on scheduled routes, while private car hire and hotel shuttle services can be arranged in advance. Additionally, car rental counters are located inside the terminal for those who prefer to drive themselves.
