Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport

Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport (青岛胶东国际机场, IATA: TAO) is the main international gateway to Qingdao, located approximately 39 km northeast of Qingdao city center in Jiaozhou. Opened in August 2021, it replaced the older Qingdao Liuting International Airport and has become one of the largest and most modern airports in eastern China, serving both domestic and international flights.

Airlines operating at TAO include China Eastern Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Air China, Hainan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, and Emirates. Destinations include major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, as well as international hubs including Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, Frankfurt, and Dubai.

Transportation

Travelers can reach Qingdao city center via the Airport Metro Line, which connects directly to Qingdao North Railway Station and other central urban areas. Airport shuttle buses serve multiple districts, and taxis are available outside the terminal. Ride-hailing services such as DiDi operate in the region, and car rental facilities and short-term and long-term parking options are available onsite.
