Smoking is prohibited throughout the general premises of KLIA Terminal 2 (klia2). However, the airport provides designated smoking lounges to accommodate passengers who smoke.

These lounges are designed to offer a comfortable and well-ventilated environment, equipped with seating, ashtrays, and proper ventilation systems to reduce the impact of secondhand smoke on other travelers. The rooms are regularly cleaned and maintained to ensure hygiene and a relatively pleasant experience for users.

Locations of Smoking Areas at klia2:

Main Terminal Building: Smoking areas are available on both the left and right sides of the terminal, where smokers often gather.

Satellite Building, Level 2: A dedicated smoking lounge is located near the Khazanah Home Decor shop and the charging station, at the right corner side of the building.

Clear signage throughout the airport directs passengers to these areas, making them easy to locate. Passengers are reminded that smoking outside the designated areas is strictly prohibited and may result in fines of up to RM250.

Passengers are encouraged to use these facilities responsibly, respecting the airport’s rules and ensuring a safe, pleasant environment for all.
