If you lose an item during your Japan Airlines flight or at the airport, Japan Airlines is here to
assist. The Lost and Found service allows you to report and retrieve your
belongings quickly and easily. Follow these steps to report and recover your
lost items.
Items Lost Within Terminal (Public Areas)
If you lose personal belongings within the public areas of KLIA (e.g., check-in
halls, lounges, or baggage claim areas), contact the
KLIA Lost & Found Center
directly. Provide details such as:
• Date and time of loss
• Terminal or specific location
• Detailed description of the item
KLIA Lost & Found Center staff
will assist you in locating and recovering your property. You may also be
required to show proof of identity to claim your items.
Items Lost Onboard or at the Gate
If you leave an item on the aircraft or at the boarding gate:
• Contact Japan Airlines customer service or the local handling team
immediately.
• Provide your flight number, date, seat number, and a detailed description of
the item.
Airport staff may direct you to the appropriate airline department if the lost
item is outside public terminal areas. Japan Airlines will coordinate
with cabin crew and ground handling to locate and return your item.
Retrieval & Collection
If your item is found, it can be collected in person at KLIA. Alternatively, you
may authorize someone in writing to pick it up on your behalf.
In-Person Assistance
Visit the Lost and Found Office
in Terminal 1, where staff can guide you on reporting lost items.
